I bought this portable home gym setup to share with my wife. I usually go to the gym regularly, so for me, this set is more for light training at home rather than a full replacement. The equipment is lightweight and folds up neatly, which is perfect for limited space. The push-up board is color-coded, making it easy to target specific muscle groups like chest, shoulders, and triceps. Of course, in theory, the most effective hand placement can vary depending on your body structure and width, so a fixed board like this won’t suit everyone perfectly. But when I tested it out, I did feel more activation in those target areas — at least for chest, triceps, and shoulders. That said, this may vary a lot between users, so it’s something you’ll have to try for yourself to see if it works for your body type.
For back and biceps, the included resistance bands offer a better alternative. There are three different bands included, which provide a decent range of resistance. If you’re looking for more intensity, though, you might want to invest in heavier or higher-quality bands separately. The push-up handles are a nice addition — they help relieve wrist pressure compared to doing push-ups directly on the floor, and they also allow for a greater range of motion. Personally, I found them a bit uncomfortable to grip for longer sets, but my wife didn’t seem to mind them.
Overall, this is an option for anyone who wants to do simple daily workouts at home and needs something compact.
